Surgery · Endoscopy · Reconstruction
A three-day program advancing the assessment and surgical management of the pediatric airway — from emergency airway and endoscopy through endoscopic and open reconstruction, reinforced with intensive hands-on skills labs.
This three-day course builds enhanced knowledge of pediatric airway anatomy and pathology, with improved skills in airway assessment, endoscopy, and both endoscopic and open airway reconstruction. Each day pairs focused lectures with an extended hands-on skills lab.
It is designed for otolaryngology fellows and residents, emergency medicine physicians, neonatal and pediatric intensive care, oral surgery, and trauma surgery teams caring for children with complex airways.
Functional and surgical airway anatomy, radiologic anatomy, and bedside airway ultrasound for the pediatric patient.
Flexible bronchoscopy navigation, rigid bronchoscopy and laryngoscopy techniques, and airway foreign body management.
Emergency airway management, pediatric anesthesia in emergencies, crisis management, and cricothyroidotomy.
Drug-induced sleep endoscopy, collapse-pattern interpretation, and airway laser principles, safety and applications.
Endoscopic management of SGS, cricoid split & grafting, balloon dilation, and endoscopic suturing techniques.
Laryngotracheal reconstruction, slide tracheoplasty, tracheal resection & anastomosis, and graft shaping.
A logical progression from assessment, diagnostics and the emergency airway, to endoscopic surgery, to open reconstruction.
Each day closes with a long practical session covering laryngoscopy, bronchoscopy, DISE, dilation, grafting and open reconstruction models.
Surgeons, anesthetists, intensivists and radiologists deliver a 360° view of the child with a difficult airway.
Clear algorithms for endoscopic versus open reconstruction, translating directly to clinical practice.
Rigid Bronchoscopy & Laryngeal Cleft Repair
